Pre-Meeting Event: Public Symposium
In recognition of the 40th anniversary of the SCOR China-Beijing National Committee.
Date and time: 15 October 2024, 14:30-17:30 followed by a reception
Venue: Shangri-La Hotel Qingdao
The Chinese Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR-China) was established in 1984. Over the past 40 years, through extensive interaction with SCOR, significant scientific progress has been achieved in China’s oceanic research. Notably, an increasing number of Chinese oceanographers have taken leading roles and/or actively participated in international ocean research programmes, projects, and especially SCOR working groups. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of China’s membership in SCOR, a commemorative event will be jointly organized by SCOR-China and the international SCOR on the afternoon of October 15, 2024 in Qingdao, China. The celebration will review main achievements and outline the future vision of SCOR-China. Prominent Chinese oceanographers will be in attendance, and all participants of the SCOR 2024 Annual Meeting are invited to join the celebration.
Please register at the link below.
