A call for Working Group proposals is released annually with a due date in April or May depending on the date of the annual meeting.

The process for approval of SCOR working groups is competitive, making it important for proponents of new groups to carefully follow the instructions shown below.

Revisions for 2026: Under “Working Group contributions,” proposals are now asked to included “General role of the Associate members (e.g., connections to related efforts, mentorship, geographic reach, etc)—can be per person or in general.” The word count allowance for this section has been increased to 750 words. This has been added so proponents can justify the Associate member composition and its balance.
