SCOR Travel Support

SCOR provides travel support for scientists from low- to medium-income countries to attend ocean science meetings. The purpose of this support is to help scientists from such countries, particularly early-career scientists, to network with colleagues from other countries, convey the research going on in their countries, and learn about progress in the global ocean science community. The list of eligible countries is given here.

SCOR does not make direct travel grants. Instead, the organizers of ocean science meetings request funding from SCOR and select recipients of the funding. The SCOR Committee on Capacity Building evaluates the requests and awards funds to meetings that are relevant to areas of science relevant to SCOR.

This program is made possible through grants OCE-1724881 and OCE-2027831 from the U.S. National Science Foundation to SCOR.
