Conservation and sustainable use of the ocean relies on our ability to observe, understand, and make informed decisions about the management of ocean environments, making the input of scientists to the UN Ocean Conference critical.
The high-level 2025 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development (UNOC3) will be co-hosted by France and Costa Rica and held in Nice, France, from 9–13 June 2025. SCOR’s network joins the broader scientific community in providing science-based advice to sustainable ocean management goals with side events during the UNOC3 and during the special event dedicated to science, the One Ocean Science Congress (OOSC), 3–6 June, organized by CNRS and IFREMER. Mark your schedules to connect with SCOR’s community of scientists!
